Breaking News: Pittsburgh Steelers Head Coach: Mike Tomlin And General Manager Omar Khan Just Officially Announced The Departure Of Three Top Experienced Star Players Due To…

Pittsburgh — Now that Dan Moore Jr., the offensive lineman for the Pittsburgh Steelers, is about to enter the free agent market, we can estimate his worth.

Due to a backlog of young talent, including Troy Fautanu and Broderick Jones, the Steelers are moving on from Moore. Moore is only 27 years old, but the Steelers are choosing younger players in an attempt to revitalize an offense that wasn’t very good in 2024.

When free agency begins, Moore is going to have a big pay day, according to Spotrac, a website that tracks salaries and contracts for major sports. According to Spotrac, Moore is expected to sign a three-year contract worth $12.6 million a year. He would rank among the NFL’s top offensive tackles with this potential contract, which would total $37.74 million. Moore would be ranked No. 174 in the league and the 13th highest paid left tackle in football as a result.

Even if those locations are subject to alter based on other free agents, it’s still an intriguing one. Due to the expiration of his rookie contract at the end of the previous season, Moore’s salary increased from $1.1 million two years ago to $3 million this past season, with the possibility of a four-fold rise in the upcoming season.

The Cincinnati Bengals’ Orlando Brown Jr. and the Philadelphia Eagles’ Jordan Mailata have also recently landed big contracts that are comparable to Moore’s anticipated salary, according to Spotrac.

The NFL has plenty of teams in need of offensive linemen, and the Steelers have enough players to let Moore go. Nevertheless, Moore ought to be able to make a sizable profit in the open market.

Zyon Gilbert, a cornerback with the Pittsburgh Steelers, was a free agent when his practice squad contract ended. Although Gilbert was on the team’s practice squad, he was placed on the injured reserve list after getting hurt during a session in November. He can sign elsewhere because his contract ends before free agency and he was never waived from the list.

Following a string of injuries, Gilbert first joined with the Steelers during training camp. The Green Bay Packers re-signed the former cornerback to the practice squad after he was first cut during roster reductions. Gilbert was released in early October and returned three weeks ago following Averett’s injury.

The 25-year-old’s career totals include 14 tackles and one sack, both of which occurred during his Giants rookie campaign. Since then, he hasn’t played in the NFL, but he has made an effort to go back on an active roster by trying to get a spot on an NFL practice squad.
