Georgia wide receiver Nitro Tuggle was arrested early Thursday morning by Athens-Clarke County Police, marking yet another driving-related incident involving a Bulldogs player.
According to the Clarke County Jail booking report, Tuggle — entering his sophomore season — faces misdemeanor charges of reckless driving and speeding.
The university announced Thursday afternoon that both Tuggle and offensive lineman Marques Easley have been suspended indefinitely. Easley was involved in a separate vehicle crash Monday night.
Tuggle, a native of Goshen, Indiana, was booked at 1:56 a.m. and released on bond less than an hour later at 2:55 a.m., with a total bond amount of $26.
This incident comes after the program faced heightened scrutiny last year over repeated player arrests involving high-speed driving. However, this marks the first such arrest for the Bulldogs in 2025.
Tuggle, a four-star recruit in Georgia’s 2024 class, recorded three catches for 34 yards during his freshman season.
The Bulldogs are set to hold their fifth spring practice session Thursday afternoon, part of a 15-practice schedule as they prepare for the upcoming season.
