Hunter Renfrow didn’t play in the NFL during the 2024 season but isn’t giving up on trying to play in the league in 2025.
He spent the first five seasons of his career with the Las Vegas Raiders before they released him in March 2024. He’s still a free agent but according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, he’s visiting the Raiders on Friday.
It comes only two days after he visited the Carolina Panthers on Wednesday and there is a chance he could do more visits after he’s done seeing the Raiders.
Renfrow was super productive during his first five seasons in the league. His best season came in 2021 when he finished with 103 receptions for 1,038 yards and nine touchdowns.
He played in all 17 games during the 2023 season with the Raiders, compiling 25 receptions for 255 yards and no touchdowns. He has played in 73 games during his career, racking up 269 receptions for 2,884 yards and 17 touchdowns.
He still thinks he can be a good NFL player and wants to prove it to a team during the 2025 season. Renfrow was a fifth-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft by the Raiders out of Clemson.
Renfrow would be a good addition to a receiver room that still needs help. Jakobi Meyers is solid but doesn’t have a ton of help behind him outside of Tre Tucker.
Brock Bowers has quickly become one of the best tight ends in the league and will be a force again next season but the Raiders’ receiving room could still use some more depth.
The Raiders finished the 2024 season with a 4-13 record and will have the No. 6 overall pick in this year’s draft.
