Eagles just received news that can help them keep Zack Baun, Milton Williams, and other key free agents

Posted on February 20, 2025 by admin

The NFL salary cap is projected to fall roughly between $277.5 million and $281.5 million for the 2025 season, which is an increase of up to $26 million from last year.

“The NFL today informed teams that the 2025 per-team salary cap will fall in the range of $277.5 million to $281.5 million, way up from last year’s $255.4 million,” ESPN’s Dan Graziano writes on X. “Cap will have increased by more than $53 million over the last two years.”

This is fantastic news for the Philadelphia Eagles, who could be looking to re-sign linebacker Zack Baun, defensive tackle Milton Williams, and several other free agents to well-deserved bigger deals come March.

The Eagles currently sit just over $18 million under the 2025 salary cap, according to OverTheCap. They will only continue to free up more cap space with they begin to release players and restructure current contracts.

If the Eagles want to “run it back” in 2025, keeping their roster relatively the same will be a major key and this salary cap news will help them do just that.
