Ravens predicted to land $80 million 6-time Pro Bowl receiver for Lamar Jackson

The Baltimore Ravens must bolster the wide receiver room this offseason, as the team lacked consistent and reliable options in the position group in 2024 outside of Zay Flowers.

Baltimore could look to address the pressing need in April’s draft, but Bleacher Report’s Gary Davenport predicts the Ravens will sign Chicago Bears wide receiver Keenan Allen.

“Lamar Jackson was great as a passer last year, but he could benefit from improved pass-catchers behind Zay Flowers. Allen will be 33 when the season starts and had modest numbers last year in Chicago, but he topped 100 catches and 1,200 yards with the Los Angeles Chargers as recently as 2023,” Davenport wrote.

Allen had a down year for his standards in 2024, as the veteran hauled in 70 receptions for 744 yards and seven touchdowns in 14 games. The 32-year-old was traded to Chicago from the Los Angeles Chargers last offseason.

Though Allen didn’t have his best season last year, the six-time Pro Bowler is still a savvy route runner who would serve as a phenomenal security blanket for quarterback Lamar Jackson and Baltimore’s offense. Allen has totaled five campaigns with over 100 catches and 1,000 receiving yards in his 12-year career, most recently in 2023.

Signing Allen shouldn’t be too expensive, as Spotrac projects the former Charger will land a two-year deal worth $22.1 million, which is an average annual salary of $11.1 million. Pro Football Focus believes Allen will receive a $22 million contract over two seasons with $13 million guaranteed and $12.5 million per year.

The Ravens are projected to have around $12.7 million in cap space, but general manager Eric DeCosta can save some money by restructuring contracts and making other roster moves.

The Ravens won’t be able to take a Super Bowl leap unless they find another productive playmaker for Jackson. Keenan Allen is getting older and isn’t an exciting player, but the former third-round pick would be a fantastic fit in Todd Monken’s offense and form a versatile duo with Flowers.
