Arsenal is anticipated to place a bid for one of Europe’s top strikers in the coming days.

Arsenal is expected to bid for Victor Osimhen
According to Area Napoli, an Italian news source, Arsenal is set to submit a bid for Napoli’s No. 9, Victor Osimhen, in the coming days. The report emphasizes that Arsenal’s first choice was Sesko, but the club has shifted its attention to the Nigerian international following Sesko’s decision to stay with Leipzig.
While Area Napoli does not specify the exact amount Arsenal will offer for Osimhen, it notes that the bid will be less than his £102 million release clause. Additionally, the report mentions that Napoli would find negotiations easier with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Saudi Pro League teams, as they are likely to offer more money. However, Osimhen himself prefers a move to the Premier League and is reportedly expecting an approach from Arsenal.
Osimhen, who was signed by Napoli from Lille for €75 million (£63 million) in July 2020, scored 17 goals in 32 appearances last season and has a total of 76 goals in 133 games for the Italian club.
Talks of an imminent bid from Arsenal follow Charles Watts’ claim in March that Osimhen’s agent had already visited London Colney for discussions with the Gunners.
Nigeria international would be ideal

Neither Gabriel Jesus nor Eddie Nketiah managed to fulfill these roles adequately, combining for just 14 goals. Additionally, they lack the physical presence needed to hold off defenders and create space for teammates like Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard.
In contrast, Osimhen is a dynamic forward who tirelessly runs the channels and constantly pressures opponents. His impressive goal-scoring record at Napoli highlights his finishing abilities, making him an ideal candidate to enhance Arsenal’s attacking options.
